Sermon Series

Sunday Morning Bible Class

New Sunday Morning Bible Class - "Isaiah's Messiah" - The prophecies concerning the Messiah are so vivid in the book of Isaiah that the book is sometimes referred to as "the fifth Gospel," even though it was written more than 700 years before the birth of Christ!  In this Advent season, our study of these descriptions will help us better to celebrate Christmas, rejoicing that "unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given," and He is Christ the Lord!  Join us in the Family Life Center on Dec. 3, 10, and 17 for this study.

Wednesday Evening Small Group

C3. “Christ-Centered Connections,” Starting Wednesday, September 6, 2017,

from 6:30 - 8:00

Our Small Group Ministry - “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matthew 18:20). Don’t know much about small groups but want to?! Don’t currently have a small group but want to?! Just want to enjoy time together with other members of your church here at Beautiful Savior?! Then come!

Christ Centered Connections (C3) - that is what our focus is as a church - establishing lasting connections with other followers of Christ that encourage and equip the body of believers to remain steadfast and immovable in the faith into which we have been called. That is the focus of our midweek classes, our confirmation classes, our high school youth studies, and our adult small group bible studies.

1. The women's Bible Study meets in the library, continuing the study on "Broken Crayons", and the way that God continues to work through His broken creation to create wonderful things.

2. A NEW study starts this evening in the narthex, "Max on Life", where we will be talking about answers to some of life's tough questions, including discussions about prayer, pain, and hope.

3. A NEW study starts this evening in the downstairs corner classroom, "Fierce Love", where moms will discuss some of the challenges and joys of being a mother, as well as developing some practical tools for to care for self and family.

4. A NEW study starts this evening in the downstairs large group open space, "Titus", where we will walk through the book of Titus, and see how the role of a Christian is as valuable in our world today as it was in the first century.

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Those are the words written in Philippians 1:21. As people are introduced to the good news of Jesus, the Gospel, lives are changed. Beginning Monday, February 5 – 7pm, Chris Troester will be leading a small group study walking through the entire book of Philippians, where you will discover the Gospel’s impact on the community of Philippi and its impact on us today. The group meets every other Monday in the Troesters’ home. Contact Chris Troester ( with any questions or to find out more information.

In-Home Bible Study

IN-HOME SMALL GROUP:  The first commandment goes like this: “You shall have no other gods,” and yet this is the commandment we break most often. No other gods? That is hardly the case, as there are often many gods waging war, battling for our attention and control of our lives. A new in-home small group led by Chris Troester called “Gods at War” is a six-week series by Kyle Idleman. This small group study meets at 7 pm every other Tuesday. The next session will be Tuesday, November 28.  If you are interested or would like more information, contact Chris Troester at 816-365-3315 or Chris Troester.
