Upward Celebration

Upward Celebration!

Please accept the following reminder about the Upward Celebration this Sunday, February 24th from 2:30 – 3:30 at the Lees Summit North High School PAC.  The doors will open at 2:00 for the players and parents.  Coaches should arrive no later than 1:45.

Children will be ushered into the auditorium to sit with their teams.  Seating will be on a first come first serve basis for other family members.

As part of the program we will again be sponsoring a food drive.  As you enter the facility we will collect and count the contributions for each team.  The team that gives the most food items will “win” the opportunity for their coach and team with the entertainment, Buckets n Boards.  To give you a reference, last year’s winning team brought over 500 food items and had an awesome photo opportunity with our basketball entertainer Will The Thrill.

Thanks for making this a great Upward season.

Would you donate your uniform?

If you sleep in your uniform and wear it after games are up, do not feel conflicted about donating, but if you will likely not wear it please consider donating your uniform so it can be used in schools in Roatan Honduras. This year I am traveling down as part of a dental mission trip and would love to take uniforms to provide to schools that  receive dental hygiene demonstrations and supplies and give volunteers of the group a positive way to interact with the students through sports.
